Desktops : eMachines T5048

My compaint is about Emachines. I was promised a full upgrade to Vista upon purchasing my Emachine Future Shop. I went to their website and filled in the appropriate form etc... When I check on its status online, it now says that my number is no longer in their system. Numerous...... and I mean numerous emails to them have either yielded a form letter requesting a store receipt (which I have faxed, emailed etc... many times) or no response at all. I suggest if you are in the market of buying a computer you skip on Emachine as their customer support is nearly non-existant. I guess Gateway would be included in the mix since they are the same company. Hide Full Review

My whole family(of 7 people) uses only one of these computers. It still works fast and efficiently, even with all the hard drive space we use! It's cheap with the rebate. Keep an eye on spyware and update your virus scanner every year and the computer runs faster. The fans can get loud when the CPU goes up but the din dies when the CPU decreases. I bought two of these in the past two months and a couple of flats, 19 with the PC and 19 wide without... we used to use eMachines to run our streaming software for our adult cam shows without trouble so I knew they were reliable.



I prefer to use wireless peripherals and alternative speaker packages but if I wanted a faster, more gaming capatable system(s) I would have shopped elsewhere and paid for that too. Hide Full Review

Purchased restore disks for my T5048.
Ordered on 4-8-07
4-18-07 no sign of disks.
Never received disks.
Never received confirmation leter.
$20 deducted from my bank account.
Spent 40 mins calling long distance.
1st person spoke to incompent fool.
Supervisor not much better.
Wasn't able to answer any questions.
Did nothing for my inconvience when the disks were suppose to be delivered within 10 days.
Would not reccomend or purchase an emachine ever again. Beware buyers. Hide Full Review
